Out of school care IN RED DEER THAT FITS YOUR SCHEDULE

When children surpass daycare age, yet are too young to be unattended, out of school care is not only helpful, it is essential. From Professional Development days to the early dismissals, we provide reliable before and after school care to Red Deer families. Ideal for working parents, these services provide care for kindergarten and elementary aged children outside of school hours.

OUT OF SCHOOL CARE PROGRAMS

Red Deer Child Care offers 3 different layouts of out of school care programs and is dependent on space availability at each of the schools. We currently offer out of school care programs in portables, which are located on site at specific schools in Red Deer. In addition to programs offered in portables, we also have programs set up in classrooms as well as in some gymnasiums. HOURS OF OPERATION

Programs are located at numerous schools in the Red Deer community, beginning in the morning at 6:45 AM until the morning welcome bell. The program starts again at the afternoon dismissal bell and finishes for the day at 6:00 PM. Benefit from easy scheduling while knowing that your children are having fun and receiving focused attention.

KINDERCARE PROGRAMS

Our Kinder Care programs are in place to support the care needed outside of your child’s kindergarten hours. Kinder Care is currently offered in the following locations:

- Mountview Elementary School
- Escuela Vista Grande
- Joseph Welsh Elementary School
- Mattie McCullough Elementary School
- GW Smith Kinder Care

HOLIDAY PROGRAMS

While schools provide numerous seasonal breaks, often families continue to work during these periods and require care. Holiday programs function during major school breaks, including summer, winter, and spring, operating between the hours of 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM. Find reliable child care without forgoing the traditional fun of the season.

Registration for the 2025 OSC Holiday Program will open at 9:30 a.m. on December 4th. Spaces are limited, please ensure to register early to secure your space.

WAITLIST: If you are unable to register for specific days, please email oscwaitlist@reddeerchildcare.ca to add your name to the waitlist for any specific day(s) you need. Please note that this is the only way to add your name to the waitlist, we are unable to add names to the waitlist that are called in or emailed elsewhere. Requests sent to any other email address will be deleted and not added to the waitlist.
When you receive your confirmation email, with your invoice, please review it to ensure that the days you intended to book are noted.
