Providing care to as many as 34 children between the ages of 1 – 6 years, this center takes a family-focused approach to services. Two daily snacks are provided by the center, with children’s lunches brought from home. Ideal for kids who love the outdoors, this facility is close to many parks and trails and uses the close proximity to the Kerry Wood Nature Centre playground facility to their benefit. In partnership with Camille J. Lerouge, families benefit from simplified transportation to and from Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs.
NORMANDEAU CHILD CARE - 53 Noble Avenue
Benefit from experience – this daycare facility has been in continuous operation for over 35 years! This program observes a philosophy of learning through play. Fantastic for children who are just starting out with daycare, the homey feel and cozy approach taken by staff, coupled with open spaces, encourages growth through self-directed expression. Offering care for children aged 12 months to 12 years, Normandeau supplies two daily snacks, along with a homemade lunch prepared on-site. Working in conjunction with the school, we provide simplified transport from Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes.
JOHNSTONE DAY CARE - 4 Jones Crescent
Ideal for creative children, this daycare emphasizes experiential learning, using the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. Obtained by Red Deer Child Care in 2008, this program cares for as many as 54 children, from newborn to 5 years old. Fortify your child’s sense of individuality with a program that encourages the discovery of a unique sense of self. Much like our Normandeau Day Care, children receive two daily snacks, along with a healthy, homemade lunch, prepared on-site.

Formally known as Pines Day Care, this centre has a convenient central location. Park Plaza Child Care is a place where children can foster meaningful relationships with peers and educators, committed to promoting exploration and individual development through the Alberta Flight Curriculum, and inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to Early Childhood Education. Offering care to children between the ages of 12 months to 5 years, children benefit from two healthy snacks and lunch provided daily. Park Plaza Child Care boasts a large indoor gross motor area, air conditioning, attached outdoor play space, is nearby parks, playgrounds, and is within walking distance to many downtown attractions like the public library and City Hall grounds.
